Meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of every
month (except November and December) beginning at
1:30 pm at Second United Methodist Church located in
downtown Knoxville, TN just off I-40. (See
Directions on Church website)
The first hour of club meeting is devoted to instructional classes,
workshops and sharing sessions. We do try to have classes dedicated to
Beginners at every meeting. The second hour we all get together and have
a club jam. All instruments are welcome.
Membership is not required to participate in club meetings. The jam is
open to listeners as well as players. You can join KADC for $20.00 per
year. Dues are prorated as follows for new members: 100% from
January 1 thru June 30 and 50% from July 1 thru December 31.
Membership in the club includes the monthly newsletter, Dulcimer Daze,
which can be delivered either electronically or by regular US Mail.
In addition to club favorite tunes, we use some music from
Stephen Seifert's book, Join the Jam. This book is
available thru the club to members at a special price.
Other sheet music is available at our greeting table for 10
cents a copy. We do have a large music library for you to
choose from. Our Members Only page also provides you
with pdf files of our current jam and playout tunes that you
can print at home or export to a tablet or other device.
Members are provided the password when they join or
renew their membership. If you need the current
password, please contact any Board Member or Linda
Smith at 865-675-2476. The password did change on
March 24, 2019.
Other Books often used by the club for tunes:
Simply Celtic - Joe Collins
Baker's Dozen #13 - Patriotic Tunes - Shelley Stevens
O'Carolan for Mountain Dulcimer - Susan Trump
You may want to purchase your own copy of these from
the various artists on their websites.
We invite you to come visit a KADC meeting. You
will discover many more things about the club and
meet some especially nice people.

Rudy Ryan has give two new tunes to the KADC. One is "When
Irish Eyes are Smiling" and the other is "Arirang" a Korean folk
song that he arranged for his brother-in-law and his Korean born
wife several years ago. It has been played and sung by both
North and South Korea for a few thousand years. He is giving
this the KADC in the hope that the Korean War will finally be
formally over in a few months.
Both of these tunes can be found on the Members Only Page.
